Oh how ADORABLE is this....

Long time friend, and old roommate Lauren Veve Meeks (I call her Veve) just had her nursery decorated by the fabulous girls of Posh Palaces. Veve is having a baby boy in June and we are all just thrilled for the first baby in our little group and will be throwing her the most amazing baby shower in 2 weeks. Check out the most adorable little Longhorn /nursery there EVER was:

Can't wait to meet Baby Boy Meeks in just a matter of weeks!

Thursday Update:

Goodness so much has happened this week already!

Sunday I through a fabulous yet low key surprise brunch for the roomie (Jen). Our friend Dana and I simply told her that we were taking her for the day and what time she had to be ready. I called a couple of our close girlfriends and had them meet at at Hyde Park Bar and Grill. They have the best brunch and great drink specials for Mimosa's and Bloody Mary's. She was to say the least SURPRISED! I was so happy it all came together and she never found out. To top it off the most adorable little boy just trotted over to our table and started singing Happy Birthday, he was too too cute. After brunch we all went and treated ourselves to mani/pedis and some wine. All in all it was a great Sunday with good friends and tons of relaxation. I think we all agreed birthday or no birthday this needs to be a monthly date. Love you Jen and hope you had a fabulous birthday!

^ This is Jen and I celebrating her brothers birthday during Thanksgiving. He wasn't there but we treated ourselves to Benihana with our boys anyways.

Next BIG update for the week......I FINALLY got a new TV. I have been using my parents 10 year old huge box of a television since I left for college. I saw no problem watching it. To me it was the same as these new yet way more expensive TV's. I would rather spend that money on shoes dresses and makeup. But it was brought to my attention that I needed an update so I have been looking around trying to find one I like and low and behold Wal-Mart had the one:

It's super light weight, very thin and I must admit I can tell a difference in the picture. It's got HD LCD LED, all those 'D' things they come with now. The boys in my office informed me I need to get an HD cable box now, yea I don;t think so. Baby steps. Baby steps. It was funny because I kinda threw a fit when Jeff and i set it up because Im used to my big square TV that I can put stuff on top of for decorating. This TV is wide and thin and leave me little space for flowers and frames on my dresses. Eventually I want to get a wall mount for it, but again...baby steps.

Roomie and I re-signed our lease this week also. This means no moving! I think we finally found an apartment we love. We have been happy here for 8 months now and will be here for another year, Thank Goodness. I hate moving and the only thing good about it is a fresh new room. Which I'm going to do anyways. new paint new bedding and some perfect new organizing ideas I have found the past few months. Such a relief no packing and no movers! Our rent stays the same and the complex is even sending maids over to give our place a good clean as a thank you for resigning.

And last but not least.....the SPURS killed the mavs last night! Going to be a great series!

Thankful

Just a quick THANK YOU to all of the amazing people in my life. There are soooooooo many of you so I grabbed only a handful of pics. Know that everyone in my life means the world to me and I'm thankful everyday for them:

First my amazing family! I could not have picked a better family if I could. My mother is the most kind hearted person and my best friend. My father has worked so hard for so long to provide for us and I will never be able to thank him enough for that. My sister is so strong, driven and creative. I have always looked up to her, even as a kid always stealing her clothes. My brother in law is the smartest and yet most down to earth man. He might be a genius but you would never know by his laid back sense of life. My 2 nephews are nothing like me as a kid and will be the leaders of their generation. I learn something form them every time I see them and can only imagine the great men they will become. Jeffy ( my boyfriend) I can't thank him enough for everything , he is so incredibly calm and understanding with me and always trying to get me to see the glass 1/2 full. I thank God you were brought into my life or this past year would have taken a much bigger toll on me. Love you all and can never thank you enough for everything you have done for me.

My 2nd family of M2 and sisters. I don't want to publicly express how much this past year has affected each of us but I want you each to know how thankful I am that you are in my life. M2- you will always be "mom 2"  I will always call you in all hours of the night. I will always come to the town house whenever I please. Bri and girls- Forever you will be my sisters and so many amazing memories will stay in my heart with you ladies.
My Soho ZTA's. Thursday nights will have no meaning unless it's date night with you ladies. Thank you for walking into the bar and taking a job at the time you did. I have loved working with someone and making 2 new amazing friends as you 2. Kelly- oh how I will always be thankful for our Thursday night date nights with many glasses of wine and hours of talking.

Entourage- HG's for life. Never a dull moment. Thank you for being a part of my life and putting me into yours. We have seen each other graduate, celebrate, and cry over losing loved ones. Now Veve married and expecting her first I can't wait to see what the future brings to the 4 of us the coming years. Jen (roomie)- Thank you for being born.

Last but not least my new Cooper! Gosh this little guy is so amazing. Anytime I get upset I just look at him and he can make me smile. I have yet to spend a night away from him and he's just a puppy. But he is ours (jeff and i) and I love him so very much for the great pup he is.
